Album Release Letter
I am very happy to announce the release of my debut solo album "TOMODACHI: Friends.”
It was released in the U.S. this October and will be released in Japan on December 20th from the major distribution company Disk Union.
I could not have done it without my family and many precious friends. I played with amazing musicians including: Peter Erskine, Alan Broadbent, Harold Danko, Tiger Okoshi, Alan Pasqua, Maki “Maggie” Inouye, Hiro Kawashima, Hiroko Williams, Maurice Gainen and many more….
I hope you will enjoy listening to it! You can purchase it from following links:
World renown former "Weather Report" drummer Peter Erskine gave me a great nice endorsement.
This is an excerpt:
"As far as I’m concerned, one of the more welcome sounds in jazz is the flute. Making this album, I learned to respect Nori's great ear and talent. It’s high time that he shares his gift with the world … his time has arrived. Congratulations, Nori … and welcome.” - Peter Erskine
I will donate 20% of the sales to a school in Cambodia where my family and I are going at the end of the year to do volunteer work. My wife and I adopted two Cambodian children 20 years ago who are now wonderful young adults. They make our lives so worthwhile that we are sharing our happiness with their country.
